ABOUT THE CONVERSATIONS

As we enter this Lenten season—a time of reflection, reckoning, and renewal—we find ourselves at a crossroads unlike any other in recent history. The rise of the MAGA movement, with its undercurrents of extremism, disinformation, and division, poses not just a political challenge, but a profound moral and spiritual crisis.

  • How do we, as people of faith and conscience, respond to this moment?
  • How do we find the courage to confront injustice while nurturing hope and healing in our communities?

Join us for a transformative 4-part series that brings together some of the most provocative spiritual leaders, thinkers, and activists of our time. Together, we’ll explore the deep spiritual roots of this political moment and uncover pathways toward collective action, resilience, and renewal.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

Session 1: The Dark Night and the Call to Courage
March 4 | 7 PM ET | Mirabai Starr and Matthew Fox, host Cameron Trimble

Mirabai Starr, renowned interspiritual teacher and translator of the mystics, joins Matthew Fox to explore the “Dark Night of the Soul” as both a personal and collective experience. Together, they will reflect on how the wisdom of the mystics offers guidance for navigating uncertainty, finding inner resilience, and stepping into prophetic action. Hosted by Cameron Trimble, this session will set the stage for the series by grounding us in contemplative depth and spiritual courage.

Session 2: The Trickster Unveiled – Archetypes in the Age of MAGA
March 11 | 7 PM ET | Andrew Harvey and Matthew Fox, host Cameron Trimble

The MAGA movement represents more than political ideology—it embodies archetypal forces of chaos and deception. Spiritual teachers Andrew Harvey and Matthew Fox dive deep into the archetype of the Trickster, offering insights on how these energies disrupt societies and how we can respond with wisdom and resilience.

Session 3: Spiritual Wisdom and Prophetic Action
March 18 | 7 PM ET | Bishop Yvette Flunder and Matthew Fox, host Cameron Trimble

In a time of profound uncertainty, Bishop Yvette Flunder and Matthew Fox draw from the deep wells of mystical wisdom and prophetic leadership. Matthew will introduce teachings from the mystics, guiding us through what he calls the "Dark Night of Society and of our Species." Bishop Flunder will speak to the role of the prophet in confronting injustice, offering a vision for how faith communities can rise with courage, embody hope, and lead transformative action in these challenging times.

Session 4: From Reflection to Action – Spiritual Courage for the Road Ahead
March 25 | 7 PM ET | Matthew Fox and Father Adam Bucko, host Cameron Trimble

In our concluding session, Matthew Fox and Father Adam Bucko will explore how we turn reflection into meaningful action. Father Bucko, known for his work in contemplative activism and co-founding the Center for Spiritual Imagination, will join Matthew to discuss how spiritual practices can fuel our engagement with the world. Together, they’ll share insights on how to sustain courage and resilience, build communities of compassion, and respond to injustice with love and clarity. Hosted by Cameron Trimble, this final conversation will inspire us to move forward with purpose and hope.
