Getting Started
Welcome to Boundary Training for Clergy. In this online course you will explore five areas of boundary training - pastoral relationships with adults, finances and church business, self care, pastoral relationships with children and youth, and social media. Each unit will begin with an overview and key questions, a theological reflection, a case study, a video to watch, articles to read, and a short quiz to reinforce your learning.
You are welcome to take this course at any pace but we recommend one week for each unit, allowing time for you to reflect on the unit and integrate the boundaries in your life and ministry.
Also, we encourage you to capture a few key learnings from each unit as you complete them as you will need these as part of your final reflection.
After completing all five units your final assignment will be to capture key learnings from each unit as well as a 400-600 word reflection on boundaries in ministry, incorporating key points, best practices, and next steps for your role in ministry.
When you have completed each section and the final assignment you will receive a certificate of completion for the course.
If you have any questions along the way, contact Rev. Jim Keat, Director of Online Innovation, at [email protected].
