Risking Everything
A lot of us are concerned when we look at the state of our churches. But sometimes, it takes things getting pretty bad for things to get better. In other words, trouble or crises or catastrophes (or downward trends in attendance and giving) can be an opportunity to ask ourselves some really important questions, like, “What’s the point, anyway?”
In this short video, I ask you to imagine risking everything to make the main thing the main thing. (I Corinthians 13 - it’s not just for weddings any more!)
Thinking back on the Coke parable, the idea of a school or studio of love, and love as the church’s prime directive:
- What feelings do you feel?
- What thoughts are you thinking?
- What desires or decisions are arising?
